Sue works in West Somerset and the rural coastline. Sue joined the team in November 2023 as the area-co-ordinator for Somerset Coast.

Sue moved to Somerset in 2007 with her young family. Shortly after, she set up a babysitting agency offering childcare to local families. Prior to joining Promise, Sue had 6 years’ experience working in an educational background supporting young children’s social and emotional development. Implementing strategies to nurture positive relationships with the children and build their resilience. As a previous Thrive Practitioner, Sue understands the importance of communication and the significance of building positive relationships with children and young people.

Sue says of her new role ‘This is an exciting time. I am really looking forward to supporting mentors in their role of enhancing the wellbeing of children and young people in the west and coastal area of Somerset. I feel privileged to be part of something as special as PROMISEworks.’
