Sam Paull joined PROMISEworks as Caseholder – South Somerset & Mendip in February 2023.

Sam moved to Somerset in 1996 with her young family. Over the next couple of years, she took on a variety of voluntary roles on the committees of the local pre-school, social club, and football club.

For the past 15 years, Sam has worked in a school supporting vulnerable children and young people to understand their emotions and to help them find their place within the school community and the world, building trusting relationships with these young people and their families was a hugely important part of the role. More recently, Sam worked in a provision for young people who found it difficult to thrive in mainstream education. Again, the focus was on building strong relationships with these young people and helping them to grow into successful young adults.

Sam says of her new role “I am thrilled to be part of the PROMISEworks team and look forward to supporting as many wonderful mentors as I can in their valuable work with children and young people in South Somerset and Mendip”.
